World-renowned GIF artist Javier Arrés is known for his manically detailed illustrations of fantastical scenery from cities, architecture, and machines with a genre all his own called “visual toys.” 

For this special drop, Javier brings his digital toys to life for the first time ever as a small-batch collection of phygital robots, spanning four releases. Each release will include an NFT digital artwork of an Arrés Mech and an unlockable physical Mech corresponding to that NFT. 

The first installment of collection, Mech Army- Infantry, was released in April of 2023. The only available artwork from Infantry is currently on display at Nematic Gallery in Carmel, California.

The next installment, Mech Army- Captain, will be released in the coming months. Stay tuned on Discord and Twitter for updates on all things Mech Army and more, including the launch of the token economy for Javier Arres' Discord community.

About

Javier Arrés is a world-renowned motion / GIF artist and a 2019 London Art Biennale winner. In 2023, Arres was included on Forbes Spain "Top 100 Creatives" list. Inspired by the sweeping views from his childhood home overlooking his hometown of Motril, Spain, Arrés is known for his manically detailed illustrations of fantastical scenery from cities, architecture and machines. He further brings these worlds to life through what he calls “Visual Toys”. Through these Visual Toys, Arrés invites the viewer into a fantastical world, inspiring the viewer to simply play with their imaginations.
