Presented by OG crypto-artist Andreas Lilja, comes Glitch: an audiovisual exploration of artificial intelligence. Through this body of work, Lilja explores the implications of AI on human society as a whole through a deconstructive art approach that blends animation, audio, and glitch technique with AI tools. Through his practice Lilja, blurs the boundaries between technique and subject matter, with concepts such as "layers", "glitches" and "artificial intelligence/life" existing as both.

Artist Statement:

Our world is in constant flux, as it has been since the beginning of time.

We have reached a pivotal point in our technological advancement, where we stand on the precipice of creating artificial life through Artificial Intelligence.

How will this impact our world? Could we already be inhabiting an artificial realm? And if so, will we go on to construct new artificial worlds within this existing one?

Layer by layer, we construct our new reality. The layer in which we experience life depends on the era we inhabit and the level of technology present during that time.

Does time truly exist, or is it an artificially created metric designed to provide us with a sense of stability, a fixed point in the ebb and flow of life?

Does the layer we occupy influence time? And do our movements through time within a specific layer cause disruptions that affect time and establish new circumstances for preceding and subsequent layers?

Are we engendering glitches within our artificial reality? Will our multilayered artificial world eventually crumble and fail, becoming one among countless failed universes?
