I was always a great reader, since I was a child I traveled to worlds of adventure perhaps to escape from the reality that distressed me. Ulysses subjugated me and his curiosity for the song of the sirens has always remained in my memory.
How many siren songs have we had to listen to and fall into their flattering nets where, in most cases, the cost and demand is too high?
To paraphrase Ray Bradbury: "The television, that insidious beast, that jellyfish that turns millions of people to stone every night by staring at it, that siren that calls and sings, that promises so much and actually gives so little." To which today we must update this phrase and incorporate into the cell phone what I believe is a much more dangerous siren song.

Haha ! Norma .. how right you are.. with AR and VR in the ppay we soon will be answering to more siren songs. While I think uts amazing that these helps us cross boundaries and meer people and know things that would not have been possible , it also makes non tech world interactions become effort oriented sometimes. Really liked the way you potrayed it ..

I'm obviously a technological animal but I don't turn into a statue of salt looking at a cell phone and forget to talk to people face to face or enjoy a ride on public transportation. To that obsessive, narrow siren song that controls the life of the other in the great virtual windows of social networks and does not build or enjoy its own life. Every moment of our life is a choice and has its limits. That's what I'm talking about.
