What makes a hero choose the path of a hero? What makes a villain choose the path of a villain? Both often suffer from tragic pasts. The destruction of their planet. The tragic murder of their family. Total rejection by society. For some, these tragic events fuel a life of revenge and disdain. But for others, these tragic circumstances forge the steel that becomes the will of the hero. Ultimately, what makes a hero a hero and a villain a villain is a testament to free will and the ability to mold one's destiny no matter the circumstances. And though heroes and villains may choose different paths, they are always connected. For it is the villain that gives the hero purpose.
