To celebrate YEAHYEAHCHLOE’s exhibition ‘Dumpling Dreams’ at the HOTA Children’s Gallery (Australia), she has released a series of the original digital artworks that inspired the exhibition.

YEAHYEAHCHLOE explores how we breathe life into the objects around us and they become much more than inanimate things. They become living entities that hold our memories and nostalgia, our moods and our feelings.

‘Dumpling Dreams’ is centred around the narrative of a lonely dumpling, a self-perceived awkward loner who dreams of finding his space in this big wild world. He is an amalgamation not only of the artists dreams and insecurities, but also encapsulates the wider human condition and our fundamental need to connect.

YEAHYEAHCHLOE brings these characters to life in a whimsical dreamscape to explore how we find connection and belonging through simple commonalities, shared experiences and by just being human.
