"In 1999, I was in Minneapolis to photograph Kevin Garnett for Sports Illustrated. Instead of shooting, we ended up spending the entire day driving around in his bulletproof car. We visited legendary music producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on this joy ride. One of them had something like 23 TVs in their house! It was a good time, but all I could think about was when we would get to our shoot? We finally got to the studio around 8 PM, and it was well worth the wait. This session was probably the single best day of shooting in my career because there wasn't a single bad picture. However, I'm not sure you can take a bad picture of Kevin with that face and those cheekbones. He was like a supermodel—he instinctively knew how to pose."
