The forests and wooded areas of the world are home to some interesting (and terrifying) creatures, like this unnamed forest spirit. For the most part, these beings tend to avoid human contact---only rarely choosing to interact, and even more rarely will the human live to tell of the encounter. Unfortunately, with the forests ablaze (thanks to global warming and the indifference of policy-makers to do anything about it,) the natural habitats for these creatures are shrinking, and their food supplies are being destroyed---and eventually, perhaps soon, they will have to come out of the charred wilderness to seek new living spaces and fresh food...
