I always took my quality Nikon FX digital camera with me in most of my travels. I've been to Morocco twice. First time I stayed for 6 weeks. The 2nd time, much later on, I stayed 3 weeks.
One late morning I was struck by a lovely girl I saw walking the cobbal-stone narrow street in Tangiers. I felt to say hello, when she went around a corner shop. She stopped with a smile as I asked if I could take a photo of her. I introduced myself. She said her name was Carmen, was also from Canada, living in Quebec City. Her striking orange/red dress flowed in the warm Mediterranean breeze, as we sat down for a coffee, pastries & some fruit. After a really fun chat, we walked to a few stores. I said I was going to Rabat next day, & I asked if she'd like to go on a short train ride to Rabat. That she did & we left at 1:pm next day. I must have taken dozens of photos of her, as she looked wonderful within the unique Moroccan architecture. We would meet later in Quebec City, as she had only a few more days left, & had to be back to work in Quebec, as a 'language translator'.
