Carlos de Oliveira is a Technology Director and creative coder that combines Design and Software in a unique way to create interactive experiences.
Carlos has been part of the SuperUber team since 2011 where he is the Technology Director and develops interactive projects for exhibitions and events such as the Museum of Tomorrow, the Museum of Portuguese Language (Brazil), the Frost Science Museum (Miami), and the Olympics Closing Ceremony. At SuperUber he also builds projects for brands such as Tesla, SpaceX, Intel, Microsoft, Nike, and Coca-Cola, among others. Carlos works at the intersection of content, hardware, software, design, and architecture to develop multidisciplinary experiences.
Graduated in Design from ESPM-Rio, Carlos works with interactive media since 2004, developing projects for physical spaces, mobile, and web. He also has a Creative Economics Master at ESPM-Rio where he engaged with the creative coding community in Brazil to create a collaborative platform for sharing knowledge between creative coders and society.
As part of the creative coder community, he develops experiments where he shares ideas combining techniques in computer graphics, computer vision, artificial intelligence, autonomous process and generative art. These experiments flow through to prototypes for SuperUber's projects.
Carlos has taught at the Istituto Europeo di Design, Universidad Internacional SEK, and the Hyper Temple Language Marathon, a school in Rio de Janeiro’s favela he co-founded in 2015 with the mission to help professionals and students learn how to code and develop their own creative process.
