An allusion to a story of liberation after years of oppression. Once there was an ancient prince in Egypt who stood at a high place, overlooking the promised land that he was barred from entering after leading the most well-known exodus in ancient history.

The prince felt dispirited. A massive revolution? A mission to go against a powerful ruler who refused to set his people free? He would rather die than lead the great escape.

Yet, he continued. He was scared, but he continued. He was uncertain, but he continued. The soldiers came after them, but he continued. Until they reached the promised land.

Because the next day is always a chance to be free. Even though the prince knew he could not enter because of a covenant he made to his God, he continued to pursue freedom 'til the end.

Now, it is our time. In this age, we have our own promised land. Each journey will be different. Thus, each promised land will look different. A new promised land, symbolizing the pursuit for what we want! Unlike the ancient times, it's okay to make mistakes and we may expect a multitude of fears. We have the choice now, to free ourselves, every day, without worry about failure because we can keep coming back up to try again. We are humans born of sacred breath since the beginning of time. Every day we get the chance to fight for the new promised land we’ve always wanted.

I am happy to own this story telling work. Every time I look into it, I find something new...little bit cautionary, little bit fun and a lot of promise of adventure in that new world. We want more stories, please!
