Rekton Chronicles;Augmented Humanity--Chapter 4__

As biomass is being slowly leaked from the core of the city the black market have learned to monopolize and streamline this leakage into a recreational synthetic drug with parallels to our own opiates. Unfortunately for the citizens' and now very large TzuXao population the biomass has become sentient and is pulling certain device types to the leak and to then propagate very rapidly among the city establishing total control.

This piece is also a commentary on the growing opiate epidemic within America and the continued usage + acceptance of such strong chemicals. We live in a society of constant contradiction on actually wanting people to recover and then also draining their pockets. Some of which unknowingly became addicted due to ignorance in the early 90s and some knowingly--now unable to escape a habit they didn't want or fully understand in the first place. Meanwhile we educate our public servants, not only law enforcement but educators as well, even librarians. (and in some cases now even children!) on how to properly resuscitate an overdose victim. It's becoming as common place as the heimlich maneuver... Something has got to give.

*Notes on detail*
An atmosphere of a back alley with a homeless TzuXao between a pro 'Norcan' propaganda poster and a 'Drug-free zone' sign with a box of 'Norcan' beside. A path of used needles leads up to half plunged syringes as this cyborg is barely conscious.

*Notes on creation*
Loads and loads of custom assets in this one, combining Quixel Megascans with my own custom decals and characters resulted in a relatively GPU-light render using Blender Octane Prime, final color correction and minor compositing was done in Photoshop. shoutout to my buddy Kevin for constructive criticism + decal help!

Love the composition and the ambience and am in awe with your 3D skills .. 👏👏
On the subject what you said is Totally true.. I MHOP this is not Pharma alone..the doctors are partly responsible as well.. the pharma companies will continue to produce drugs but as a calling (yes.. I refuse to call a doctor a professional ) this has to be in some ways ptescribed responsibly. I have seen some doctors ask if there is pain and then prescribe the strongest painkillers at one go .. why,? ..I have seen my grandfather work .. most of the times he would rather suggest homemade responses to pain alleviation than painkillers.. and use painkillers as last resort..

In my state, Michigan, they've actually made it very restricted and controlled, unfortunately leading people to the street getting cut compounds, and dying causing this 'call for alarm' and arming public servants with Narcan. What's wild too is, as a child I was in a car accident, wheelchair status. They gave me morphine and oxycontin.. as a 9 year old. Ultimately I never took any of them and have a crazy high pain tolerance now 😬.

The 3d skills have only recently started really growing, feels good to break the learning curve. Appreciate you, Indrani!

I really resonate with this one. It reflects my own anger at big Pharma over the opioid crisis. I don’t know if you have seen the TV series, Snowfall. It is a factionalized story about how the Reagan government booked the black community in LA on crack cocain to fund their dirty little war in Nicaragua. Anyway, great story and awesome artwork. I will be following your artwork with great interest.

I have not Mike, but am aware of the dark things our 'leaders' are swayed. Not to mention this whole Corporations are people deal exempting them from certain laws. 😵 Appreciate the comment, Mike!

This week you have created a strong work visually and since the history of # series / showcase. Your message is blunt, a call to become aware. You have made a founding break with respect to the above, as an inevitable result of what happens in this world of clones and in the world that we have to live today.
The atmosphere is distressing, bleak but it is a landscape that in all parts of the world today we must see or deny but it exists.
One is trapped in this thread that you are creating for the following week where this desolate and aimless world can have any end and where you are the only architect to solve it.
