Kujira no chouyaku, translated to the western world as Glassy Ocean, is a 1998 japanese animation movie directed by Shigeru Tamura.

"On what apparently is a parallel world, time flows in a much slower pace than normal. The ocean remains on a solid state of matter as the eccentric individuals who inhabit this land casually wander over it."

Whether the name of the movie implies heavily on the aesthetic of this piece, it is not solely responsible for it's name. Another external influence can be found in it, which is the song Diamond Sea by the band Sonic Youth. Both titles takes in their meaning the essence of time and contemplation of external and internal conflicts. This was made by doing an experimentation of a broken mesh and rendering it with the ambient light of another piece made by me. It talks to itself and my other works, creating a loop of meaning.
