I have been meaning to create "breathing mandalas" for some time now. Thank you to Maker's Place for giving me the incentive to finally do so with their 100-Day Challenge (Day 57: Magical Mandala). I expect this will be the first of many. Whenever I thought of this idea, I pictured a purple lotus flower opening and closing, so that is what I wanted to try depict here. The challenge is to do the piece within 24 hours, so it isn't 100%, but I'm still very happy with it.
