Graffiti artist and street artist all over the world have a 'tag', a quick phrase or image that they repeat over and over again, usually in different locations. The 'RCube' is Lume Machina's 'tag', a three dimensional cube. This piece is a vertical, full HD, animated loop of 4 drawn cubes rotated 20 degrees, for a seamless loop.

Lume Machina chose the cube as it's tag because in every iteration of 3D rendering technology (including the early 3D experiments at Bell Labs in the 60's with Billy Klüver, an engineer who collaborated with Robert Rauschenberg to form Experiments in Art and Technology (EAT)), a cube was used as the first solid objects to be rendered. And Lume Machina honors that history by creating cubes, the simplest of complex 3D shapes, in real world spaces, over and over again. Though, this is the 1st 'tag'.
