Quite an artistic rendering of the situ at hand Jared Scott.

Very strong composition....line is definitely winning over curve....and warmth over coolness.

With regards to the title and descriptilon.....just amazing poetry/prose...the helplessness of the circumstances could not be more stark.

If you do not mind...I would add this principle.....Where there is life there is hope.

.....and my response to your beautifully written poetry/prose.

The world has always had this element of abject suffering somewhere.....as a result of man's negative decisions toward absolute truth.....what makes it different today is that there is now a saturation of it....akin to a garden overgrown with weeds. Since Satan took rulership of the world from the first man Adam....he has ruled the world.

It is only when man opts for the greater benevolent power of God and truth that he is freed from the slavery of Satan's system.

Thank you for the opportunity to think on these things.

Wishing you all the best.

Appreciate all you do at Discord.....thank you.

Cheers!

Wow .. Jarid .. the words and the picture .. I literally shuddered at the concept of a drugged and bleeding world .. sometimes it feels like we are hurtling towards a future like that without brakes . It is such a dramatic ending to the series. I love the texture and the colors of the picture .. it resonates so well with the narrative .

Interesting work! I love how you have the vertical and horizontal lines broken down by other patterns!

This is a great piece that is probably representative of a very real future for some or all of us as our society seems to be on the brink. The materialistic consumer debt based system that was forced upon the masses by the evil corporations and the banksters controls and corrupts our governments. It is unsustainable and will collapse eventually into anarchy and ruins.

Thank you very much. I too fear the very real possibility that this will be our future soon.

What an apocalyptic and real letter, I see that from several aspects of art the image is repeated, an agonizing civilization. Your creation reflects it as every week, they are messages, they are signs, they are screams, it is art and art always goes one step ahead of time. Thank you for sharing your message.

the car's on fire and there's no driver at the wheel
and the sewers are all muddied with a thousand lonely suicides
and a dark wind blows
the government is corrupt
and we're on so many drugs
with the radio on and the curtains drawn
we're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine
and the machine is bleeding to death
the sun has fallen down
and the billboards are all leering
and the flags are all dead at the top of their poles
it went like this:
the buildings tumbled in on themselves
mothers clutching babies picked through the rubble
and pulled out their hair
the skyline was beautiful on fire
all twisted metal stretching upwards
everything washed in a thin orange haze
i said: "kiss me, you're beautiful -
these are truly the last days"
you grabbed my hand and we fell into it
like a daydream or a fever
we woke up one morning and fell a little further down -
for sure it's the valley of death
i open up my wallet
and it's full of blood

You are welcome. It is a very bleak outlook, but I fear it may become a reality sooner than we think.

This reminds me of the song Heartbreak Hotel. “Down at the end of Lonely Street.”
