When I was young I had the ambition of a tiger. I had patients that is almost nonexistent today.
Sometimes I would sit and draw for hours and hours without doing anything else. What I lacked then and seem to have now. Instead of patients I have technique. Making the journey from what I image to the time it takes me to produce more efficient.

But something I really miss being able to sit and paint or draw for hours and failing over and over again. Because when it finally happened that what I wanted to create became just the way I imagined , the joy was like euphoria.

And something else you lose when you create something fast is that when you spend time with something you create you create a bond, a meaning and a story with the artwork.

This piece is something I created many years ago. It was based on story I had written about a little girl called Blue.

Mankind and the animal kingdom in this world was divided due to the neglect of mankind. Born in a dusty world with no animals and no plants - living of Morina - pills that have since centuries been developed for humans as a source of energy and nurture. People have forgotten about plant and animals and live in this grey melancholic world. Until the day a little girl named blue is born. All around her these strange creatures appear and colors never been seen before. Afraid of here strange power she is cast away left to die. And through her fear and emotions she opens the gate to the animal kingdom. What I try to depict with this piece is just that. Her first encounter with the animal kingdom.

To sum it up. I envy my past self for lacking the technique but gaining the will and creativity I struggle to find today.

Thank you for reading.

A beautiful magical, melancholic creation and a valuable story that gives it the perfect frame and fills me with tenderness that also calls my inner child to play in this space you create. Thank you...
