This is an animated sequence of the creation of two drawings ‘The Creative’ and ‘The Receptive’.
Representative of the polarities of forces that we endeavor to bring into balance for our own equilibrium.
These works were created in the first weeks of the 2020 Covid-19 Crisis, where Faith felt the shockwaves of disruption echo in enormous pendulum swing creating a liminal space in-between.

The quality of ambiguity or disorientation that occurs in the uncertain transitional times allows for social hierarchies to be reversed or temporarily dissolved and future outcomes once taken for granted may be thrown into doubt.

The dissolution of order during liminality creates a fluid, malleable situation that enables new ways of being and customs to become established.
