Sion Lee is a 2D/3D digital artist, futurist and boba lover. He has been creating and selling his art for over 10 years under the names Ubiki and KawaiiKowai.

Japanese for "Cute" and "Scary," KawaiiKowai is his monster art brand. Beginning with his inaugural piece "Make Lava Not War" in 2013, KawaiiKowai has grown to include a universe of monsters both in the real world (in the form of 24"x24" gallery-wrapped canvas) and the digital world (in the form of non-fungible tokens -- aka NFTs).

2013: KawaiiKowai's first piece, Make Lava Not War, is created. It is the first in a line of 8 limited edition 24"x24" and 12"x12" gallery-wrapped canvas pieces.

2013: KawaiiKowai makes its debut at the world-famous 626 Night Market in Los Angeles and Orange County.

2014: The Real Stan Lee, of the late Marvel comic writer and producer Stan Lee, interviews Sion Lee and KawaiiKowai.

2017: KawaiiKowai sponsors events at Gameboi San Francisco and Raz nightclubs.

2018: Kung Fu Tea Las Vegas and San Diego become the exclusive exhibitors and brick and mortar retailers of KawaiiKowai's canvas art.

2019: Cosplayer Phil Mizuno and KawaiiKowai team up to release Kowaizu, part of the Mewzuno collection of plush toys.

2021: KawaiiKowai mints its first non-fungible token (NFT), a purely digital and limited edition collectible.
