In the distance a windsock blows in a specific direction. I point my lens and make a wish. In a moment when life seems aimless, the practice of photography and trusting the process gives me focus. Long exposure, shot on 35mm film, scanned and digitized.
Hawaii is known for its natural splendor and bright tropical colors, however I was interested in a different view. I wanted to see what I couldn't see everyday, the spirit of the Islands so to speak. For months I would explore the East of Oahu at night to experience the language of moonlight and discover a powerful silent presence. From a series called LAND SEA MOON
