The Soft Boys were a British psychedelic / punk / weirdo band, formed in 1976 and fronted by the odd and irrepressible Robyn Hitchcock. The group only released two albums, *A Can of Bees* and *Underwater Moonlight*, before splitting, and Hitchcock had a long, strange solo career. The band reformed in the early 2000s, at least long enough to do some shows and release a THIRD album, *Nextdoorland*, which I thought was pretty good.

Sadly, the extremely talented bassist for the band, Matthew Seligman, just recently passed away on us, which sucks because he was a unique talent who played not only for The Soft Boys, but also contributed to work by The Thompson Twins, Thomas Dolby, Stereo MCs, Morrissey, Tori Amos, The Waterboys, David Bowie and MORE... (Damn...)

This little demon, who LOVES The Soft Boys, has great taste. If you don't know the band, give them a listen. Very fun, upbeat, and weird...
