Euclid's nightmare is my recent take on the wonder of mathematics.
It represents the complexity and beauty of mathematics, from which nature also takes inspiration.
The shape you are seeing is a variation of a 3D fractal called "Mandelbulb" infinitely complex but extremely easy to define in math language, based on Mandelbrot's 2D fractal (Benoît Mandelbrot 1924-2010) and extruded in 3 dimensions with imaginary numbers, visualized thanks to the latest 3D rendering techniques.
