That moment where you realise you probably should not be where you are right now, and are about to deal with the consequences.

"UH OH" was created swimming around in a shark infested lineup at a wave called 'The Right' kilometres off the coast where gigantic southern ocean swells find their way to this football field sized reef to unload their energy onto.

I had unknowingly been swept onto the reef during the first wave of the set, The moment this second wave appeared I was instantly way out of position, I had no place to go. The ocean had control of where I would be. Sadistically, wearing this on the head was fun compared to the wipeouts I have had riding this wave.

At this point, I know I am about to cop it. My eyes are trained through the viewfinder on the right hand corner of the frame for the moment when I will turn my body into this oncoming freight train, in the hope of shielding my camera and securing it tightly it to my chest, as I am about to have an experience similar to that of an ankle sock in a washing machine spin cycle.

As it begins to tumble me I am able to keep my camera in its housing pinned, losing grip at this point would create a 5 kilogram missile, still tethered to my wrist.

I allow the wave to keep expending its energy while I silently chuckle to myself underwater that this is the first time Ive been caught out shooting here and that I am going to receive some heckling from my friends for this. before choosing the moment to begin expending some of my own energy and make my way to the surface.. Upon my head breaching I am able to see I had been blasted into the impact zone lagoon way on the inside of the reef. A short moment later I am picked up on a jetski and deposited back to the lineup with a grin on my face and some banter thrown my way for getting myself flogged by the ocean and the rescue needed.
