"Kurt was happy to see us. Back in Seattle, my business partner Jon Poneman and I had heard that Kurt Cobain was homesick, and suffering from exhaustion. We decided to meet up with Kurt in Rome and show him some support. After a month of touring Europe, Nirvana (and the TAD band) had one week to go before joining Mudhoney in London for Lamefest UK, a sold out Sub Pop Records showcase.” (Bruce Pavitt)

This Grunge micro-history, one dramatic week in the life of Nirvana, was documented by Bruce Pavitt, the founder of Seattle's Sub Pop Records, the record label that first discovered Nirvana, Soundgarden and Mudhoney.
