𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙖 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙪𝙢 is a 16-page architectural graphic narrative metaphorically portraying my story of immigration from South Korea to the United States.

A female protagonist first visits the museum with excitement and a bit of nervousness, but she is soon faced with a feeling of alienation and solitude. She enters the museum nonetheless, determined to search for a sense of belonging, and continues her journey with perseverance. Her identity remains undisclosed throughout her journey because she is always facing forward in the search for meaning in life. Towards the end, however, she comes to realize her true identity, becoming fully aware of her unique beauty and value. She leaves the museum with an enlightened mind and moves on to her next journey.

The design of the museum is dichotomous in purpose: two aesthetically very different spaces are divided by the narrow wall-like structure through which the main protagonist circulates both horizontally and vertically, referring to my experiences from living as a Korean-American.

𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 is the fourth of the 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙖 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙪𝙢 series, every piece limited to an edition of one.
