Act Four in the "META KEMET" Collection; A historic series of meticulous artworks telling the true story of the Egyptian Revolution. Animated in collaboration with Elie Eid.

Inspired by the events of the 2013 Egyptian protests during the Arab Spring.

After the military’s betrayal to the people, one of the most memorable things during the Egyptian revolution was the green laser pointers all the protesters in Tahrir Square were using to illuminate the Apache helicopters hovering, With Military forces beating the protesters with the highlight of the infamous veiled young woman who were dragged, her face is covered. Her torso is bare, except for her bright-blue bra; she's a millisecond away from being kicked by a solider.

I wanted to immortalize her as Queen Nefertiti, As her image became a visual symbol of abuse of power by the Egyptian military. It also became the rallying cry for several thousand Egyptian women who marched demanding the end of military rule.
