"After a day of inspiration in Rome, Kurt, Jon and I each enjoyed a cappuccino at the train station, before heading north to Geneva.

While getting some rest overnight, someone managed to steal Kurt’s passport and wallet out of his shoe. We helped negotiate a temporary visa at the border that morning. Thankfully, we made it to Switzerland and joined up with the rest of Nirvana and TAD.” (Bruce Pavitt)

This Grunge micro-history, one dramatic week in the life of Nirvana, was documented by Bruce Pavitt, the founder of Seattle's Sub Pop, the record label that first discovered Nirvana, Soundgarden and Mudhoney.
