I reached out to Patrick Mahomes PR folks, his charity, and the team that did the drop. I sent them a very kind email asking for help to get this awesome project the hype and attention from the work it deserves.

Here’s the email that I shared and be copy and pasted and/or altered to make it your own. I can tell that the folks at the Impossible Brief opened the email, and we if we all reach out and contribute we can get some traction on this project.

Hi!

I love Patrick Mahomes and bought one of his 50 of 50 NFTs. While I'm a huge fan, hardly any have sold, and I'm wondering if Patrick (or someone on his team) can do something to help. Having the NFTs sell creates royalties that's good for him, The Impossible Brief, and 15 and the Mahomies, too.

I'm wondering if he can do something simple, like let people who own one of his 50 of 50 edition NFT's come meet him for 1 hour once a year (after a game or something simple). He doesn't have to do anything other than shake each person's hand and say a polite hello for 30 seconds each. I think that something like that would drive a lot of attention to the NFTs and be good for him, his charities, other stakeholders, and the owners of the NFTs themselves.

Doubt he personally reads these but his marketing promoter should definitely engage with Mahomes NFT community so it doesn't look like a quick cash grab. The drop was overpriced, to many editions and was never continued to be marketed after the sales. NFT flourish because of artist engagement and social media. Where's the love, @mahomes?

First of all, when working out the value of this piece of art, let's compare it to the closest analog available right now, Rob Gronkowski's NFT collection.

His collection consisted of one unique 1/1 piece which sold for Ξ229.8135 and four different cards with a total of 87 editions of each card. The average price of the four 1st edition NFTs currently sits at Ξ29.5, at the time of this post.

Gronkowski is a great of the game no doubt but what Mahomes is doing right now at such a young age puts him on another level and whenever Brady decides to retire, Mahomes will be the number one guy in the NFL.

This 1st edition NFT has a tremendous upside potential to it but I'm going to have to let it go much earlier than anticipated and pass the ball on to someone else.

Taking everything into consideration, I am putting this NFT up for sale for Ξ40 and will not accept any offers below this. Each week I will be increasing the price of this NFT by Ξ10 until a sale occurs or the price reaches Ξ100. @GreenDog and I were discussing this. It's infuriating and such a helpless feeling not knowing who to contact. The MakersPlace team doesn't really seem to be too concerned with the fact people spent thousands of dollars on their site and people aren't receiving what was paid for.

Some thoughts on valuation:

Not saying their career achievements are equivalent, but you could argue LeBron and Mahomes are the faces of their respective sports.

Evaluate.market tracks all of the sales and market values for each player's moments for NBA Top Shot. In total, LeBron has 20 moments currently trading on the platform with a total market value of $241M. They define this as the lowest asking price multiplied by circulating supply. Even if we discount 15%, the total market for JUST LeBron's moments is ~$200M.

Like I said, not saying Mahomes is LeBron, but when the total value of Mahomes' NFTs equals $3.5M (so far), something tells me we could see the value of these rise quite a bit in the secondary market over the next couple of months.
