It is a bit too common for teenagers to think they know it all and do not need help for their parents—or anyone—for that matter. When I was a teen I had the same attitude. So in raising our own kids, my wife and I have made efforts to instill in them a spirit of humility as well as a hunger for wisdom. Haha ... yes ... completely identify with this - humility and patience ... and the funniest part is as adults even when we say to young ones, we slip up quite often. But the way you created this - so funny yet so near home. Love it.
Arrogance of the youth is just a natural thing, they dont know yet how much sh1t can happen xD and its really a good compensator of the ignorance of age
It’s a sad tale. Too soon old, too late wise. Great reminder, Joe. I don’t know what wise person said the following, but I have always believed it is true. “The beginning of wisdom is to know that you do not know.”

Excellent reflection from a father to a son. It is true, we are wise by age and experience but we must never lock ourselves in that attitude because we lose perspective. Teenagers also have a lot to say and come from different perspectives even much more valuable than ours. It is our duty to be flexible and accept that changes are inevitable.
