Ravishing is the first-ever painted piece by Esther Barend that is converted into a digital asset as an NFT (non-fungible token).
Better yet, it is the first animated piece of her paintings. This beautiful work of art was the cover of the invitation of her 3rd solo show at ArtClub gallery in Paris in 2019.
The original physical painting was sold during the show at the gallery and remains in a Parisian collector’s home today.

The Artist painter: Esther Barend

Esther describes her attraction for art as “an unstoppable need to paint that is essential to her life.” She explores the human form through acrylic painting and re-interprets the female figure with expressive movements and colors. Her flair for contemporary, fluid brushstrokes communicates a very intentional sense of freedom and personal independence. Esther develops her portrait images around a focused silhouette that quickly evolves into a progression of high-energy painting gestures. Confident strokes often lead to visually exotic, beautiful passages of color while her time on the canvas is translated to interior thought as noted by the painting titles.

Esther’s abstract paintings are non-representational compositions which she describes as “an unspoken, complex inner world that can only be translated with paintbrush and colour.
