Hi there! There’s actually a few recent Mandalorian pieces, but there’s something very special in the works. Keep an eye out and thanks for the current highest bid!

I'm a newbie. Is this an auction? When is it over?

Thanks James love this piece great to have Vader added to my collection. Your work is brilliant!

Thomas Cheng - Sorry had to add this piece as I missed out on Vader a couple of days ago. If Vader comes up again & if you are bidding I won’t bid against you. Hope you win the next Vader piece 😊

Hi Mr. Mulligan,
I'm hoping you can enlighten me as to how purchasing these digital art works is done. I'm a brand new user to the makersplace. So, I bid on this Vader pic that you created (great job, by the way!) you congratulate me on the first bid, I then get outbid, then I place a higher bid, then I get outbid again by the same person, then this morning, I see that this person purchased the art work. I actually wanted to put in a higher bid. Is there a certain amount of time that I have to respond with a higher bid? Are you the one that decides and accepts the winning bid? I went to sleep after that last outbid, which is what happened. I'm just a little disappointed I didn't have a chance to place another bid. Please advise. Thank you!

Hi Thomas...
Don't worry one bit. We are ALL a bit "new" to this. Much of when an auction ends has to do with "gas" fees. Gas fees can range from $9.00-40.00, all the way up to $150.00 recently. When an artist decides to accept a final bid, typically will rest on how high the gas fees are in any given moment. An artist will typically go with a lower bid, if gas fees are high, and they find there is a precipitous drop, as happened with this particular piece. As the value of Cryptoart continues to rise (exponentially), the best advice is to put in your top number bid on a piece to ensure it is accepted as the fairest price, even in the face of often ridiculously high fees the artist will be responsible for paying out. All the being said, I have included a brand new Darth Vader piece, as well as a new Mando piece, in an extremely limited edition of 3. You may want to hop on that! May the force be with you. Always. Best of health and a happy new year from London.

Thank you for your explanation, Mr. Mulligan. Is that your last name or first name? I guess I'm just too used to buying my collectibles on ebay where it shows the exact time and day an auction ends. You get to see the bids and can put in a higher bid, as long as it's before the auction ends. If the gas fees are what makes an artist lean towards accepting a bid or not, then that doesn't seem fair to the customers. I actually have no problem paying the gas fees, if it is reasonable or even split the gas fees with the artist. When I put in my initial bid, I actually thought I was buying the piece of art. The website is a little confusing in that it doesn't state anywhere that it's an auction to the highest bidder and these gas fees are also a contributing factor for the artist to accept the offer or not. I sure wish this particular Vader piece was limited to 3 instead of 1. Anyways, I'm not upset, I'm just trying to understand the process of buying on here. Maybe an explanation on the whole buying and selling process should be put on the website for better clarity. Or better yet a visual or video to do so. It would keep customers in the loop, especially us newbies.

I was considering making an alternate version of this piece with different visual animating attributes. I’ll let you know if that is possible. ASAP.

That would be great! I'm a Star Wars fan and would appreciate another opportunity at an art piece that would be similar. No rush, though. Rushing the creative process doesn't usually produce the best results.

Are there copyright issues for the artist to use Disney IP like this? How to avoid getting sued?
