The Carnival of Venice is one of the most famous events in the world, and so are the masks showcasing in it. In 2021 it was cancelled, even if there was a kind of streaming edition (but the real event never took place).

This was quite an incredible decision if we think that the first official document that declares the Carnival of Venice a public holiday is an edict of 1296, when the Senate of the Republic declared a holiday the day before Lent. To my knowledge it was never suspended before (please correct me if I'm wrong).

This photograph is one of those that I took in 2020 (the last edition before the pandemic) and later converted into an animated Cinemagraph digital artwork. This image was part of a larger project which unfortunately was never completed but it may be with the future editions of the Carnival.

The second of 5 Carnival Masks that have been converted into a NFT unique animated artwork.

All of them are 1of1 editions and separate artworks.
