An illustrator and animator from Zimbabwe based in London. His digital art is mostly hand-drawn in muted, complementary colour palletes. His works feature contemplative scenes, often peaceful and solitary, they explore themes surrounding plants, insects, human bodies, and space exploration.
With a background in fine art and an early career as a graphic designer, Julian has settled on illustration as the ideal synthesis of the digital and traditional media and has made it his core creative pursuit for the past 10 years. A secondary but equally obsessive pursuit of animation has drawn him to 3D software which he implements in some of his work.
