This is the summit slope of Klyuchevskaya Sopka (4800m), the highest active volcano of the northern hemisphere. It took us 9 hours to climb this constant 35 degree slope over loose rock and ice to get to the top and back down... what an experience after more then 10 days of walking through the wilderness of Kamchatka. The left track is from our ascent to this high camp and the right one is from our summit descent.
