From the series, the colors of my city.
Immersion.
I often like to be in silence when I feel calm and no one can to interfere me, it's like a meditative state. When I go out to street, in the immediate vicinity of my home, I am attracted to special territories. On which I feel the power. It's a kind of mysticism. By education, I'm a professional historian and, unconsciously, I'm attracted to archeological excavations. It's when you have an ancient street under your feet but you don't even know about it. When a new house was built in place of an old one. Life was boiling on an abandoned wasteland covered with thick grass and trees in ancient times, other people lived there. Crossroads, buildings, squares, temples, everything plunges into the ground, burns in fire, under the blue sky. And I look into this emptiness, there is something native there, in this long forgotten past.

Such a wonderful and poetic description of your feeling for cities upon cities. And the energy of special places that we can best feel when we are 'silent.' ⚖️⚖️♥︎⚖️⚖️

Not far from my house there is a playground, at first glance it is quite ordinary, but I am drawn to this place for some reason. I stand there sometimes and drink coffee.
It is near the park, between Soviet-era houses. The playground is overgrown with thick grass, utilities clean the park but not this playground. There's a old garages behind this site.
I may be mistaken, one famous archaeologist on this spot, dug up the house of an 11th century merchant.
This is where I took a few photos of which I later made my collage.

Really appreciate the added story Fateh. Can really understand how being attracted to archeological excavations you are being drawn. They say that the energy of the people who built certain buildings can be felt ~ Regardless of time. ⚖️⚖️♥︎⚖️⚖️

That's interesting. I mean, it's the history of my town.

Yes and maybe some very interesting stories to be tapped into. Working with art is a great way to open oneself to the added 'inspiration' that may be found there. ⚖️⚖️♥︎⚖️⚖️

For me, life itself is an inspiration. Part of which I embody in art. I haven't thought about the fact that art itself can be an inspiration. It's unusual. But there's a logic to it.
