Within you exists an Idea Machine. This Idea Machine runs 24/7. It produces ideas when you are both awake and asleep. It’s always there. It’s running constantly, whether you are aware of it or not.

Lots of things get in the way of finding your own Idea Machine. Digital noise, torrid relationships, emotional scars, fear, greed, ego and desire all block you from becoming aware of your Idea Machine. But your Idea Machine continues churning out ideas in wakefulness and during sleep. It never stops, unless you are sick or depressed.

In the beginning before you find your Idea Machine, you might get a sense of it when you have a strange dream that refuses to leave your mind. You also might hear a soft whisper sometimes, a whisper from an idea that escaped from your Idea Machine.

When a lone idea has escaped from your Idea Machine and whispers in your ear, you must listen to it, and block out all distractions. You must give that idea some wings, feed it, for it has traveled a long way to find you.

Once you become fully aware of your own Idea Machine, it almost drives you mad.

@stellabelle You accepted this bid after the time you said the "auction" was closing. I went to bed thinking I had bought this piece. I didn't even have the chance to counter.

There's a method I've seen others use, which involves resetting the clock by 24 hours after every bid. This allows you to accommodate for collectors in different time zones and maximize the value you get for your piece. You don't necessarily need to do 24 hours, but something along these lines might work better.

You could also set a fixed deadline and reset the clock by 15 minutes every time you get a new bid. This is how the recent Batman NFT was handled.

I think the key is to communicate a clear deadline and rules, and to give collectors enough time to bid.

The problem with the one you just did is that it allowed someone to swoop in at the last second, and outbid a collector, without giving them time to counter.

In this case, with more time, I would have bid higher than $396 and enn may have countered, bidding up your price even higher.

I'm relatively new to this though, so it would be useful to ask other more experienced artists or collectors.

I see. Ok, that last tweet was not precise, but rather more vague, which i now see as something to improve upon. I figured that the first tweet was seen, which it was not. Thank you for explaining this and I'll do better next time. I still appreciated your bid because you respected my reserve price.

Out of curiosity, and because I want to improve, how would you have done the auction? As I said, I am new to auctions and open to improvement.
