The idea of synthetic life has been with me since very young. I read Asimov's "Foundation" series when I was 10, and many other sci-fi works which had A.I. in some form or another. In one of Asimov's last books in "Foundation", he describes a kind of "robot" that is essentially indistinguishable from humans. Fast-forward a few years and I'm thinking about the same thing as I watch "Westworld"... Could it ever be done? Could we one day synthesize life? Self-replicating molecules with something other than carbon as a base?
Also, if you noticed the 'glitch' and were bothered by it, don't be. It's an imperfection that I left there deliberately as part of the piece. Evolution would not have gotten very far without imperfections. Mistakes in the copying process (mutation) is the key to complex life being able to evolve.

Impressive, spectacular, every week you surprise me, how much work, and above you invoke Asimov. Moebius tape brings to mind. All the things that amaze me have this creation. If there is an error I will not discover it, all perfection must necessarily have one. My admiration thank you for creating it.
I can't believe I didn't reply to you and everyone else here! :O ... Thank you for these words, Norma <3
I could watch all day. A golden Mesmer. Lovely.
Thank you! <3
Brilliant depiction of your story,
Jody. Artificial is an important topic these days. Full of promise and peril.
Thank you, Mike! Forgive me for only replying now.
Indeed, about Artificial Intelligence. My next 3-4 piece have AI featured too =)
WoW! I love It!
Thank you, Gala! And please forgive this TERRIBLY late reply... I somehow missed all comments on this piece.
Don t worry for this :)
I love how intricate this is .. seamless yet complex ...I guess technically our individuality are the mistakes .. :)..otherwise we would be clones of each other..
Thank you, Indrani! Yes exactly =) .. "Mistakes" are the generators of complexity! The warriors against entropy! ;P .. And please forgive my super late reply...
Lol.. no problems at all 😊.. good to see you back ‘!
Really like this relaxing to watch... There is no perfection in art, we evolve...
Thank you, Nicholas =) It is rather hypnotic, isn't it?
Please forgive my late reply...
Totally besotted with this piece Jody. Have always loved the double helix as an art form, designed by the Creator. The way you have created the turning of the inner and outer spiraling is SO captivating. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
Thank you, Alison! <3 .. While we may disagree on the origin of the helix, we seem to both agree on its enchanting beauty ^-^ .. And please forgive me never replying to you here... I missed the comments on this one somehow!

the reflection of fragments on the sphere... really interesting artwork!
Thank you, Nikolay =)
Awesome work! Cheers!
Thank you! ^-^
Great work. Yes, mutations are vital for evolution. And synthetic life? They would only ever be 'our' version of life, a simulation with evolutionary variables in-built. Until their energies run out. But mathematically dangerous none the less. Maybe... some other planet has already created them... Let's hope they don't find a way to create fast, interstellar travel. Let's hope they don't find Earth anytime soon.
Thank you =) .. Hehehe, indeed, I've thought A LOT about the different possibilities for what may exist out there. And just how probable is it that other life exists? (Seems very, very likely, but then also - Fermi Paradox) .. And could be that we might not even recognise life when we see it.
I'm currently working on a few pieces set in a universe where a "Borg" like species exists, that actually evolved naturally, and is NOT trying to assimilate the entire universe, lol, but is actually just interested in cataloging it in their immense Archives.
Edit: fixed typos
Love it, sounds v. worthwhile concept.
Very nice piece... absolutely beautiful... almost perfect! There is just one little bit that I notice, which is the loop transition, is just ever so slightly off which casues a small, tiny little skip. Still love it a lot though! Great work!!
Hi Kollector! I looked for you on Twitter to thank you for your offer. I will be accepting it by the end of the night ^-^
I think you'll be glad to know that the "glitch" was left in the piece deliberately ;) .. I explain why in the description.
Ahhh I see...!! Awesome! I look forward to owning this piece of beauty! And will be following more of your work to come...
I just accepted the offer ^-^ ..
Thank you for the kinds words =) .. I am working on something at the moment that you very well might like. A series of 3 pieces, also futuristic. They will be editions of 1.
Looking forward to it!
