Mad Boogie, you asked on another page about why some bidders don't leave them up for long... Personally, I don't have much money, have a limit to spend each month after living bills etc. So, I check to see how much the artists pieces usually go for, look at 'about' to see where they might live, take that into consideration as to how long I will leave my bid available, give them four/five waking hours to consider it, no acceptance or decline then I cancel. Other times, I see something else while browsing so cancel the bid in order to have the money for the other piece.
Would much rather be declined than have bid hanging there.. As for artist, if someone cancels a bid quickly, only you know. The price that person bid is for all to see, might have been made and cancelled in a 1 to 2 hour timeline but the next bidder doesn't know that and therefore makes a higher bid.
