For this painting I started by experimenting with different shaped squares and rectangles, strong shapes, slightly affecting each other’s space on the canvas. This then created a kind of 8 bit nostalgic retro video game feel. I then added in the little mouse characters giving the piece life, charm and cute visual interest.
