I was born in 310 BC's Rome, in a wealthy family whose name I cannot reveal, for reasons you will soon come to understand.
My education started early in life. I was 6 when my parents discovered my interest in art. As money was no object, I had the honor to become the disciple of the first Roman painter, namely Master Gaius Fabius Pictor.
People were astonished by his talent and his outstanding ability to recreate reality by means of expressing his feelings through painting. When they him asked questions regarding this amazing gift of his, he would answer - "Talent is but an illusion. It's all about opportunity, passion, and hard work."
I am proud to have been named his best apprentice, continuing his work once he left this world. However, as it often happens, life took an unexpected turn, that many of you will not believe, despite all the evidence.
On a quiet morning of my 16th Spring, I was sitting by the Tiber river, capturing the majestuous image of Rome. I was just starting out, when, suddenly, I saw a sort of metallic structure reflected on the water - similar to a shield, only much, much larger.
You will learn the rest of the story through the art that I show you. All I can say is that the events in my past have completely changed my perspective on reality.
