You've just woken up out of a nightmare that you died while killing yourself in a pool. Every color in the room is dulled and the air feels heavy. The sweat is dripping down your face onto the blanket and you can feel the heat of the room, so you at least know you're still alive. Right? Dehydrated, you go to the kitchen and get a glass out of the cabinet and turn on the tap. Attempting to drink this water, it falls straight through your body and onto the floor. You can't believe it, so you go to get another glass of water and try to drink it, but it again falls onto the floor. You drop the glass onto the water and it shatters, making no noise. You walk over it and you can't feel a thing. Is this really the afterlife?

This piece is a follow up to my previous piece of art, "The Pool". That piece of art was based on the idea that the water of the pool is depression and it becomes warmer as time passes while you're in it, making you grow more comfortable with your depression.

The title of this piece is based off of a song from William Basinski, "Paradise Lost". That piece of music almost perfectly illustrates the feeling that I have during periods of depression and dissociation, so I named this piece of art after it. For best emotional immersion, look at this piece while listening to the song.

I can't find you on social media to follow you so I came here to say this, but I'm releasing a piece on April 23rd at 1PM, it'll be a featured piece on the MakerPlace page, hoping to see you there! It's a good one.

It'll be all good though. I'll have more like this with this blue aesthetic. I sold the first blue artwork on Foundation and this would be the second one sold, I'm thinking of making the blue environments a reoccurring thing.
