I have always loved the fuscia. My mother used to grow them and exhibit them and they always remind me of her. I wanted to capture the colours and form as well as adding a quirk with the refracted fuscia head in the water drop hanging from the stamen of the main subject. This flower was shot in my home studio and is a focus-stacked image created from six individual exposures. These exposures were stacked by hand in photoshop to get as sharp an image as possible.

Oh my heart. My mother used to grow and love her fuschias too Mark. She started painting in oils in her 60s and painted fuschias as well as so many other flowers and landscapes.
The clarity and focus and sharpness is AMAZINGLY beautiful. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
