Under every Desert a Sea began its life with images of the Mojave desert that are now so abstracted they appear to be water. Here Terry Flaxton is working with ideas of geological time:
“The Mojave was once a sea and will again become a sea after the ice melts. Eventually our water world will become evaporated by the sun as it expands to become a red giant. We sentients will survive in many forms and adapt. There are many gigaplex of suns and planets with life on them – each will get its shot at emergence, evolution and survival. All of these will contain sentient creatures and all will come and go in the blink of an eye.”
Under Every Desert a Sea is about that cycle.

Introducing Global Offers
A Global Offer is a single offer that is submitted to all owners of a multi-edition artwork. After one edition owner accepts the bid, the bid is processed and all other bids are withdrawn.
Comments
I saw that also very strange.
what weird bidding history - what happened there?
thanks for clarifying
Just clarified, sorry my above response is a little misleading -- when a higher bid is submitted, it returns the previous bid so it's not that the entire auciton is reset but previous bidders need to resubmit their bids which sometimes they do not
"if the current bidder withdraws their bid, the entire auction is reset" why is that?
